Tumblr Runs!
Tomorrow is Patriots Day

Good luck to everyone running the Boston Marathon!

Shit: Real

It just got.

14.05 in 2:48:10 not counting all the times I stopped to look at neat stuff. So add an hour.

So I totally ran a half marathon today.

Chicago marathon training begins tomorrow.

Running is hard.

My neck and the weather have been giving me trouble, and it’s really hard to convince myself to get out there.

Also, I’ve had a weird ache in my chest that feels muscular. Everything wrong with me lately seems to be connected to my stupid neck injury.

I just want to be well and I don’t know how to get there. Its very frustrating.

Happy National Running Day!

How will you celebrate?

Recovery’s over. Goodbye, Cleveland.

Training begins. Hello, Chicago.

In order to get accurate numbers and an idea of who/what/where/when…I decided to come up with this Google Doc to share with everyone (think Conway…).

The idea behind it is to not only be able to tell exactly who will be running, but also is anyone in your area of where you live is running it. Maybe you can meet up for a long training run. Maybe you see someone who is on the same plan as you and you have a question. It’s more of a resource to use and also it might be a good way to connect as it gets closer. (other than Facebook, Twitter etc..)

Not running but are still heading to Chicago? No problem! There is room for you on the list too.

Edit: There may be other groups on various other social media sites, but this is a list for Tumblr.  Some people might not use or be connected through other sites. Fill it out…don’t fill it out…it’s up to you. (I’m staring at you MichaelDoesLife)

Look what just arrived in the mail! On to raise another 1,000 bucks for the ACS.

Side note: Chicago DetermiNation uses nicer singlets than Cleveland.

My legs are sore as hell and walking down stairs is a special kind of torture right now, but it was all worth it! Let me show you why.

Many thanks to those of you who posted notes of encouragement.

I can’t heart or comment on posts in this blog for some reason, but I read them and appreciated them immensely. Short video post forthcoming.
